Job Description

As a Technical Writer, you will play a critical role in creating, organizing, and maintaining technical documentation that conveys complex information in an accessible manner. You will work closely with engineering, product, and support teams to gather information needed to craft clear, concise documents that effectively communicate product specifications, user manuals, training guides, and other critical documentation. Your ability to translate technical jargon into layman’s terms is essential in helping both technical and non-technical users to understand and utilize products effectively. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining document quality and making necessary updates to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards. This role requires excellent writing and interpersonal skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive approach to documentation management.


Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive technical documentation such as user manuals, guides, and FAQs.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to gather and interpret technical information accurately.
  • Organize and manage documentation revisions based on new product releases or updates.
  • Ensure all content complies with legal, regulatory, and company guidelines at all times.
  • Utilize visual aids like diagrams and charts to enhance the understanding of documents.
  • Coordinate with product and support teams to update documents with relevant feedback.
  • Edit content produced by other team members for clarity and accuracy as needed.
  • Conduct document reviews regularly to ensure ongoing relevance and correctness.
  • Create and use templates that ensure consistency across all types of documentation.
  • Stay updated with industry trends to bring a modern approach to technical writing.
  • Train team members and stakeholders on best practices for effective documentation.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects with deadlines and align resources effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, or a technical field related to the role.
  • Proven experience as a technical writer, preferably in a related industry or field.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and translate them into clear prose.
  • Experience using documentation tools such as MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, or similar.
  • Solid understanding of technical documentation processes and best practices.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
