Job Description

As an IT Support Assistant, you will be at the forefront of ensuring seamless technology operations within our organization. You will provide essential support to both staff and customers by troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining effective IT systems, and assisting with IT-related projects. The role demands a proactive and customer-oriented individual who can efficiently handle multiple technical tasks and provide high-quality support services. You will often act as the first point of contact for IT inquiries, requiring excellent communication skills and technical expertise. By joining our IT team, you will not only enhance our technical support capabilities but also facilitate smooth and efficient business operations.


Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level support and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware and software problems accurately.
  • Install and configure software applications for new and existing employees.
  • Maintain asset inventory, including tracking and managing IT equipment.
  • Document technical issues and resolutions for future reference and reporting.
  • Support network infrastructure, ensuring connectivity and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct periodic maintenance and updates on computer systems and servers.
  • Collaborate with IT teams for complex problem-solving and project implementation.
  • Deliver training to staff on new software and IT procedures as needed.
  • Respond promptly to IT inquiries via phone, email, or in-person visits.
  • Monitor system performance to proactively prevent potential issues.
  • Assist with data backup operations to ensure data integrity and security.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; IT certifications are a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems and applications.
  • Basic understanding of network systems, connectivity, and troubleshooting methods.
  • Excellent communication skills for clear interaction with non-technical users.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems is preferred.
