As an IT Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency of our organization's technology infrastructure. You will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software. You will respond to queries, run diagnostic programs, isolate problems, and determine and implement solutions. Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and assistance to end-users for hardware and software issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues through thorough troubleshooting procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain the company computer systems and networks for peak performance.
  • Set up hardware and install software for staff according to company standards.
  • Document all support interactions for future reference and creating knowledge base articles.
  • Manage ticketing system to prioritize and track end-user issues with effective resolutions.
  • Conduct regular system maintenance and software updates to prevent issues before they arise.
  • Communicate technical information effectively to non-technical users to ensure understanding.
  • Collaborate with IT team members to foster a proactive support environment.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements for existing IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Assist networking administration to ensure seamless connectivity across all departments.
  • Maintain an inventory of all hardware and software resources within the organization.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an IT Support Specialist or similar IT support role.
  • Strong understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and remote control support tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with effective communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certification in IT fundamentals, A+, Network+, or equivalent is preferred.
  • Degree in Computer Science or a related field is highly desirable.
