An ICU Nurse, also known as a Critical Care Nurse, plays a pivotal role in the healthcare industry by providing specialized care to patients with life-threatening conditions that require complex assessment, high-intensity therapies, and interventions. This role demands quick decision-making, effective communication skills, and a compassionate approach under high-pressure environments. As an integral part of the healthcare team, the ICU Nurse works closely with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to create and implement a patient care plan. Responsibilities

• Assess patients' conditions, recognizing critical changes in health status promptly.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by medical practitioners safely.
• Operate and monitor advanced life support equipment and technology proficiently.
• Coordinate with a multidisciplinary team for effective patient care plans implementation.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions and post-treatment home care.
• Keep detailed records of patient's medical history and current treatment plans.
• Respond to emergencies and provide urgent care efficiently during critical times.
• Manage pain relief procedures and ensure patient comfort at optimal levels.
• Collect, evaluate, and interpret data from patient monitoring systems accurately.
• Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and health regulations at all times.
• Participate in continuous professional education and training sessions regularly.
• Support and mentor junior nurses, sharing knowledge and nurturing skills development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or an equivalent healthcare qualification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a critical care setting is preferred.
• Proficient knowledge of advanced life support systems and critical care equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively under high-stress and emergency conditions.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-focused mindset.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
