Job Description

The Head of Sales - Solar position is an exciting leadership role for an individual passionate about renewable energies. The selected candidate will oversee the sales operations for solar energy products and services, leading the team towards achieving and surpassing sales goals. This role requires the ability to develop strategic sales plans that will expand the company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence in the industry. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership qualities, have extensive knowledge of the solar industry, and demonstrate strong business acumen. As the face of the company's sales department, the Head of Sales will also work closely with management to align sales strategies with business objectives, establish high-performance standards, and cultivate customer relationships that drive business growth.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans for the solar division.
  • Lead, manage, and mentor the sales team to achieve sales targets.
  • Identify and penetrate new market opportunities to increase sales revenue.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align sales and promotional strategies.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Establish and maintain robust relationships with key industry stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports, and performance metrics to executives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Negotiate and close high-value contracts with clients and partners.
  • Develop pricing strategies and promotional offers in alignment with market trends.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and promptly address any issues or complaints.
  • Foster a culture of performance excellence and continuous improvement within the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is required.
  • At least 7 years of experience in sales leadership, preferably within the solar industry.
  • Strong understanding of the solar energy market and emerging trends.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and growing sales teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement sales strategies effectively.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools is highly preferred.
