Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment as per specifications.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards and defects.
• Read blueprints and technical diagrams to determine placement of equipment.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring and equipment.
• Use a variety of tools and equipment such as power tools, measuring devices, and testing equipment.
• Ensure compliance with national and local electrical codes and standards.
• Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and other professionals on electrical system installation.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown.
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems and ensure they are operating safely.
• Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
• Perform business and online skills to communicate strategies effectively with stakeholders.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an electrician and valid certification in electrical work.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures in handling electrical components.
• Experience in industrial, commercial, and residential electrical systems.
• Ability to read electrical blueprints and technical diagrams accurately.
• Proficiency in using tools such as wire strippers, voltmeters, and thermal scanners.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and safety procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
