CAD Technician - Utilities (225-918)

A CAD Technician specializing in utilities plays a key role in the design and development process of utility infrastructure. This position requires a deep understanding of computer-aided design (CAD) software to create technical drawings and plans that meet project specifications and industry standards. As a CAD Technician, you will collaborate with engineers, surveyors, and project managers to ensure the accurate representation of utility systems like water, electricity, and gas. Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 2D and 3D utility infrastructure drawings using CAD software.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to gather necessary design specifications.
• Ensure all technical drawings meet project requirements and regulatory standards.
• Update existing utility plans to reflect any changes and modifications accurately.
• Assist in the planning stages of projects by creating initial design blueprints.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a CAD Technician, preferably in the utilities sector.
• Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
• Understanding of utility infrastructure, including water, gas, and electricity systems.
• Strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
