Job Description

An Executive in Accounts Payables is a pivotal role within an organization's finance department, focusing on managing outgoing payments and ensuring financial accuracy. In this role, the individual is responsible for processing invoices, verifying financial data, and managing vendor relationships to ensure timely and accurate payment. The Executive is required to have a keen eye for detail and outstanding organizational skills to manage financial documents efficiently. Additionally, the position demands strong communication abilities to interact with vendors and internal departments effectively. The role ensures compliance with corporate policies and accounts payable procedures, contributing to the smooth financial operations of the company.


Responsibilities

  • Process and verify invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors.
  • Maintain accurate accounts payable records and financial documentation for audits.
  • Communicate with vendors to resolve payment discrepancies and inquiries.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions to ensure accuracy with general ledger entries.
  • Prepare and execute monthly reports on accounts payable status and activities.
  • Assist in month-end closing, ensuring completion of financial processes efficiently.
  • Implement and uphold company policies related to accounts payable procedures.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure proper purchase order matching.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to optimize accounts payable processes.
  • Monitor aging reports, ensuring timely payments and managing potential liabilities.
  • Prepare journal entries and adjustments to support accurate financial reporting.
  • Support the finance team in various projects and tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline required.
  • Proven experience in an accounts payable role or similar finance function.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and accounts payable procedures.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise with stakeholders.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
