Job Description

An Architectural Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring that construction projects meet specific standards and regulations. This professional is crucial in maintaining safety, sustainability, and aesthetic quality within architectural projects. Typically, an Architectural Inspector is involved from the project's initial stages through to completion, providing expert knowledge and guidance to ensure all work complies with relevant codes and standards. Responsibilities

  • Assist in resolving construction disputes by providing factual evidence from inspections.
  • Participate in pre-construction meetings to better understand project timelines and specific inspection needs.
  • Regularly monitor ongoing projects to verify continued compliance with regulations and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of architectural drawings, schematics, and construction methodologies.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in construction inspection or a related field.
  • Thorough knowledge of local, state, and federal building codes and regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting and stakeholder engagement.
  • Proficient in using inspection software and tools for accurate documentation and reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and rectify non-compliance issues.
