The Database Administrator (DBA) plays a crucial role in the management and maintenance of an organization's database systems. Responsibilities

• Design and implement database systems based on business requirements and specifications.
• Monitor database performance and provide tuning recommendations for optimization.
• Establish and enforce database standards, guidelines, and best practices.
• Conduct regular backup operations, and create and manage disaster recovery plans.
• Install and configure database software, upgrades, patches, and related products.
• Ensure the high availability and reliability of database systems and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with development teams to design and optimize database queries.
• Implement and maintain security measures for data protection and compliance.
• Identify and resolve database performance, capacity, and scalability issues.
• Document database configurations, policies, procedures, and changes effectively.
• Provide support to end-users and troubleshooting for application-related database issues.
• Plan and coordinate data migrations between systems and validate data integrity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Database Administrator or similar role for several years.
• Strong knowledge of database management systems, including SQL, Oracle, or MySQL.
• Experience with database design, implementation, and performance tuning practices.
• Proficiency in data backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning and execution.
• Familiarity with database security protocols to protect sensitive information.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a technical environment.
