Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Site Preparation & Execution:
Lead and supervise the civil works on solar power projects, including site grading, foundation work, and installation of structures.
Ensure proper site preparation, including layout, excavation, and material management.
Coordinate and execute foundation and structural works, including cable trenches, mounting structures, and civil works for solar panel installations.
Project Management & Coordination:
Oversee day-to-day site operations and coordinate with internal and external teams (contractors, vendors, suppliers).
Collaborate with the project manager to plan and execute the civil activities according to the project schedule.
Ensure timely delivery of materials and resources to the site.
Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with project timelines.
Quality Assurance & Compliance:
Monitor the quality of civil works performed on-site to ensure they meet project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Prepare and review quality reports and documentation for all civil works on-site.
Ensure adherence to safety standards and environmental regulations during site execution.
Site Surveys & Technical Assistance:
Conduct surveys to assess site conditions and identify any challenges before project initiation.
Provide technical assistance to resolve site-related issues during execution.
Review and interpret engineering drawings and design plans to guide site execution activities.
Resource Management:
Manage civil resources on-site, including labor, equipment, and materials.
Ensure optimal use of resources while minimizing wastage.
Coordinate with suppliers for timely procurement of materials and construction tools.
Reporting & Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of daily site activities, including manpower, material usage, and project progress.
Prepare and submit periodic reports on site progress, work completion, and any challenges faced.
Ensure proper documentation of all civil works completed, including As-built drawings and site reports.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
Bachelors degree in civil engineering or a related field.
Experience:
5-7 years of experience in civil site execution, preferably in the solar industry.
Hands-on experience in the execution of solar projects, including civil works such as foundation, structure installation, and site preparation.
Experience working with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contractors and managing site teams.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices related to solar power plants.
Experience with structural design principles, foundation work, and civil construction techniques.
Familiarity with solar power plant components, including mounting structures, inverters, and cable trenches.
Proficiency in MS Office and construction management software.
