Job Description

A Telesales Executive plays a crucial role in driving a company's sales efforts by engaging with potential customers over the phone. They are responsible for reaching out to both prospective and existing clients, presenting products or services, and convincing customers to make a purchase. With excellent communication skills and a knack for sales, Telesales Executives work to enhance the company's revenue and customer base. This role requires strong persuasion abilities, good listening skills, and resilience, as well as the capability to handle numerous calls in a fast-paced environment. Telesales Executives may work in various sectors, including telecommunications, finance, and insurance, each with its unique sales targets and customer interactions.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily outbound calls to prospective and existing customers to generate sales leads.
  • Understand customer needs and offer appropriate products or services to match their requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and updated records of sales activities and customer information in the CRM system.
  • Meet and exceed individual sales targets and contribute to team sales goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop effective sales strategies and approaches.
  • Handle customer objections and provide suitable solutions to close sales effectively.
  • Keep up-to-date with product knowledge and industry trends to effectively communicate with customers.
  • Participate in training sessions and group meetings to stay informed about new offerings.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth processes and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Provide feedback to the team leader about potential sales opportunities and market trends.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements during all sales activities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, ideally with sales or marketing courses.
  • Proven experience in a telesales or similar sales-driven role is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills with a persuasive ability over the phone.
  • Strong listening skills to understand customer needs and tailor sales pitches effectively.
  • Ability to handle rejection and remain motivated in a high-pressure environment.
  • Experience with CRM software and proficient in data entry and keeping timely records.
  • Results-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with colleagues.
