Job Description

As an RME (Reliability, Maintenance, and Engineering) Coordinator, you play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficient operation of an organization's mechanical and electrical systems. This position involves planning, coordinating, and executing maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance and longevity of engineering assets. You will be responsible for managing equipment records, scheduling regular maintenance, and collaborating closely with engineers and technicians to identify and address potential issues before they escalate. Additionally, the RME Coordinator must ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards, making communication and documentation skills essential. Your role is key in minimizing downtime and enhancing productivity, thereby supporting the organization's operational goals.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule maintenance activities for all engineering assets and equipment.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and inspections performed.
  • Collaborate with engineers to develop maintenance strategies that enhance equipment reliability.
  • Ensure all operations comply with safety regulations and industry standards at all times.
  • Monitor equipment performance and identify potential improvements to optimize productivity.
  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for recurrent equipment failures.
  • Maintain strong communication with all stakeholders regarding maintenance timelines and progress.
  • Responsible for the acquisition of necessary tools, materials, and parts for maintenance activities.
  • Develop and update maintenance manuals and documentation for engineering equipment.
  • Implement and oversee a robust maintenance management software system for efficiency.
  • Prepare regular reports on maintenance activities and equipment performance metrics.
  • Manage a team of maintenance technicians and ensure their ongoing development and training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems maintenance principles.
  • Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in using maintenance management software and other relevant IT tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to lead and motivate staff.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to improve operational efficiency.
  • Experience in conducting audits and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Certification in maintenance or reliability engineering is considered an advantage.
