Video Editor (225-723)

We are seeking a talented and creative Video Editor to join our dynamic media production team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling through video and possess a keen eye for detail. As a Video Editor, you will be responsible for assembling recorded raw material into a finished product that's suitable for broadcasting. This role requires a combination of creativity, technical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. You will be involved in all stages of post-production, including audio synchronization, color correction, and enhancing the final product with graphics and special effects. Responsibilities

• Receive and understand project briefs from producers and directors.
• Assemble raw footage and transfer or upload it to a computer.
• Input music, dialogues, graphics, and effects to enhance video content.
• Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running of video edits.
• Review edited videos to identify any errors and make necessary improvements.
• Work closely with the production team to understand project requirements.
• Maintain an organized library of assets and manage video files efficiently.
• Stay updated with new editing technologies and industry trends.
• Create rough and final cuts and perform quality checks before final approval.
• Collaborate with audio engineers for synchronized and balanced sound output.
• Implement feedback from stakeholders to refine and perfect final edits.
• Meet deadlines for multiple projects and ensure timely delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Mass Communication, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Video Editor, with a strong portfolio of work.
• Proficiency with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro.
• Strong understanding of digital filming and editing techniques.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey creative concepts.
• Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics and visual composition.
