Job Description

A Project Co-ordinator plays a pivotal role in managing and organizing various project activities to ensure they proceed smoothly and on time. Tasked with the orchestration of different project components, the Project Co-ordinator acts as a liaison between teams and stakeholders, facilitating communication and collaboration to meet project objectives. The role requires a keen eye for detail and excellent organizational skills to manage schedules, budgets, and resources effectively. In addition, they must be adaptable and resourceful, able to anticipate challenges and devise solutions swiftly. Working closely with project managers and team members, the Project Co-ordinator ensures that projects meet their goals and deliverables within the stipulated deadlines.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project activities and resources to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Serve as the central point of contact between project stakeholders and team members.
  • Maintain detailed and organized project documentation and records for easy reference.
  • Monitor project progress and promptly report any issues to the project manager.
  • Assist in the preparation of project plans, schedules, and budget forecasts.
  • Facilitate effective communication among team members to promote collaboration.
  • Organize and schedule project-related meetings, ensuring all participants are informed.
  • Track project deliverables and ensure they align with project objectives and deadlines.
  • Identify potential risks and assist in the development of mitigation strategies.
  • Support the project manager in the execution of project management tasks as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and standards throughout the project cycle.
  • Generate regular reports on project status, progress, and any deviations from the plan.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working in a project support or coordination role.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate team collaboration.
  • Proficiency in project management software tools such as Microsoft Project or Asana.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of basic project management principles and practices.
