Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems safely.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using testing tools to locate the cause.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards or defects.
• Follow local building regulations based on the National Electrical Code during projects.
• Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring and equipment.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components with precision.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on electrical equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints accurately for installations.
• Provide clients with cost estimates for completed work and project developments.
• Respond promptly to reported defects or emergencies and problem-solve effectively.
• Collaborate with engineers and other professionals on high-level projects for optimal results.
• Adhere to all state and local building codes to comply with safety regulations.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent; completion of an electrician apprenticeship program.
• Valid electrician's license and certification to practice within the state.
• Proven experience in the electrical industry, with at least three years of expertise.
• Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations about electrical works.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability for effective diagnostics.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams accurately.
• Strong communication skills for liaising with clients and colleagues efficiently.
