Performance Tester (225-923)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Performance Tester to join our dynamic team. As a Performance Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring that our software systems perform efficiently under varying load conditions. You will work closely with developers and other testers to create test scripts, conduct tests, and analyze performance results. Your primary goal will be to identify bottlenecks, optimize performance, and ensure our systems meet the highest standards of performance and reliability. An ideal candidate for this position is someone with a strong technical background, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for improving system performance and user experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement performance test plans and test cases for software applications.
• Collaborate with development teams to identify performance requirements and test objectives.
• Design and execute load, stress, and capacity tests on various systems.
• Analyze test results to detect performance issues and recommend improvement measures.
• Monitor system performance and provide detailed reports on test findings.
• Create and maintain test scripts using performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, etc.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and work with developers to resolve them efficiently.
• Ensure that software meets performance and scalability benchmarks prior to release.
• Continuously research and implement best practices in performance testing.
• Communicate with stakeholders to provide updates on test progress and outcomes.
• Document all test procedures and findings for future reference and accountability.
• Contribute to the overall testing strategy and provide insights on system architecture.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in performance testing with tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Strong understanding of software performance metrics and evaluation methods.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills used in performance testing.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with excellent communication skills.
• Experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Shell is beneficial.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies and their impact on performance testing.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with database technologies and their performance impact.
• Strong attention to detail in executing and evaluating performance tests.
