An Operations Executive (Inbound and Inventory) is a pivotal position within the logistics and supply chain management sector. The role involves overseeing and optimizing the inbound logistics processes to ensure smooth and efficient handling, storage, and inventory management of goods and materials. This position requires a strategic approach to managing inventory levels and ensuring that the materials arriving at the warehouse or distribution centers are processed in a timely manner to meet organizational goals. The role demands strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to drive process improvements that enhance operational efficiency. Additionally, the Operations Executive must stay informed about industry trends and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance and promoting best practices in inbound and inventory operations. Successful candidates will display excellent problem-solving skills, be proactive in identifying operational bottlenecks, and be adept at data analysis to forecast needs and optimize inventory levels.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee the inbound shipping, receiving, and inspection of inventory items regularly.
  • Manage and optimize warehouse space utilization to maximize operational efficiency.
  • Develop and implement strategies for maintaining optimal inventory levels.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of inbound logistics to identify improvement areas.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in warehouses.
  • Analyze and report on inventory data to guide strategic planning and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and reduce lead times.
  • Train and oversee inventory control staff to maintain accurate stock records.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with logistics and carrier partners effectively.
  • Implement and sustain standard operating procedures for inbound operations.
  • Leverage technology and software systems to enhance inventory tracking accuracy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field required.
  • Proven experience in managing inbound logistics and inventory operations.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to make data-driven decisions efficiently.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills to manage complex operations.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software and warehouse management systems.
  • Exceptional communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Understanding of regulatory policies affecting import/export and inventory management.
