As a Procurement Officer where you will play a crucial role in managing the company's procurement activities, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. As a Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for cultivating relationships with vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with company policies and standards. Your ability to analyze market trends, assess suppliers, and leverage your negotiation skills will be essential in securing favorable terms and achieving optimal supply chain efficacy. You will collaborate with various departments to understand their needs, facilitate budget adherence, and address any supply issues. This role demands a proactive, detail-oriented, and strategic thinker capable of adapting to the ever-evolving business landscape. By optimizing procurement processes, you will contribute directly to the financial health and operational success of the company. 


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective procurement strategies and policies within the company.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure the best terms.
  • Manage vendor relationships and continuously evaluate supplier performance.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess risk.
  • Monitor inventory levels and forecast supply needs accurately.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of goods and services from suppliers.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring all are accurately documented.
  • Regularly review and update procurement policies according to latest industry trends.
  • Resolve any supply issues affecting company operations efficiently and effectively.
  • Support cost reduction initiatives by identifying savings opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to meet procurement objectives and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience working in a procurement role.
  • Strong negotiation skills and a proven track record in optimizing procurement.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to manage data effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for vendor and team interaction.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics and procurement best practices.
