Key Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Tourism, focusing on innovative and technology-driven aspects of the industry.
• Engage in research activities that lead to high-quality publications in internationally recognized journals, particularly those indexed in Scopus.
• Supervise graduate research projects, masters theses, and doctoral dissertations.
• Develop and enhance tourism curricula, incorporating smart technologies and industry trends.
• Participate in academic accreditation processes, ensuring alignment with the UAE Commission for Academic Accreditation and international standards.
• Perform administrative duties as assigned by the department, college, and university.
• Actively contribute to community service initiatives, including industry engagement, organizing academic events, and providing consultancy services.
• Advise and mentor students, guiding them in their academic and professional development.
  
  

• PhD in Tourism, Hospitality Management, or a related field from a recognized university.
• At least five years of effective teaching experience at both undergraduate and graduate levels in tourism or related areas.
• A strong research record with publications in internationally ranked, peer-reviewed journals with a solid impact factor or indexed in Scopus.
• Experience supervising graduation projects, as well as master’s and doctoral theses/dissertations.
• Proven ability to establish partnerships with industry and community stakeholders to enhance academic and research collaboration.
• A track record of service to the university and the wider academic community.
• Preference for candidates with experience in online/e-learning environments and digital pedagogical methods.
• Ability to integrate computer technology effectively into tourism education and research.
