Job Description

As a QHSE Officer, you will be the cornerstone of ensuring that quality, health, safety, and environmental processes are effectively implemented and maintained within the organization. You will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, monitoring, and improving the integrated management systems for QHSE compliance. This position requires a proactive approach to detect and mitigate risks, enhance working practices, and ensure ongoing compliance with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements. You will collaborate with various departments to foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement and serve as an advisor to the management team on QHSE matters. Your expertise will ensure that the organization operates in a safe, environmentally-conscious, and quality-focused manner as we strive for operational excellence.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental management system.
  • Perform risk assessments and implement strategies to control and mitigate hazards.
  • Ensure the company’s operations comply with local, national, and international regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential issues or lapses.
  • Facilitate and lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Provide training to employees on QHSE standards and safe work practices.
  • Collaborate with management to develop improvement plans and initiatives.
  • Ensure effective documentation of all QHSE-related activities and findings.
  • Create and deliver reports on QHSE performance for management review.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement in all areas of QHSE.
  • Act as a point of contact for QHSE matters internally and externally.
  • Stay informed about current industry trends and best practices in QHSE.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Safety Management, or related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a similar QHSE role.
  • Strong knowledge of QHSE management systems and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent risk assessment, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead training sessions and communicate effectively with all levels.
  • Proficient in using MS Office Suite and relevant industry software tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for thorough documentation.
  • Certification in QHSE-related programs, such as ISO 9001 or OSHA, is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
