Job Description

As a Computer Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing our computer systems and networks. Your main responsibilities will include troubleshooting hardware and software issues, ensuring system functionality, and assisting users with technical problems. You will be expected to have a keen eye for detail, possess analytical problem-solving skills, and keep up with the latest technology trends. You will also be responsible for repairing and maintaining various computer components, ensuring that the systems run efficiently and effectively. A successful candidate will have excellent communication skills to interact with a diverse range of users and a deep understanding of computer systems and network configurations.


Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems for end-users efficiently.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems and software applications.
  • Build and assemble computers and peripheral components as required.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and testing of computer systems and networks.
  • Document and maintain inventory of all hardware, software, and network assets.
  • Assist in evaluating and selecting new hardware and software solutions.
  • Develop and implement action plans for system upgrades and enhancements.
  • Provide technical support and training to users on hardware and software usage.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to support cross-functional technology projects.
  • Maintain security protocols and guidelines to protect company data integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and technology standards consistently.
  • Stay updated on evolving technologies and industry trends related to IT support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Computer Technician or in a similar IT role.
  • Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and operating systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, technical, and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Good understanding of security protocols and data protection standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively under deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills for providing technical support to users.
  • Familiarity with different IT support and management software tools beneficial.
