Job Description

As an Associate in Fleet Operations, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing day-to-day operations of a company's vehicle fleet. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective maintenance and utilization of the vehicles. This role involves coordinating with logistics personnel, tracking vehicle performance, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies. Being an integral part of the fleet operations team, you must be highly organized, possess strong analytical skills, and be able to communicate effectively with team members and vendors. A proactive approach in identifying operational improvements and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards are key to succeeding in this position.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day operations to ensure fleet efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Track and monitor fleet performance metrics and report findings regularly.
  • Manage vehicle maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend fleet life.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal safety standards.
  • Liaise with vendors and service providers to negotiate favorable service terms.
  • Assist in developing strategies for optimizing fuel consumption and reducing costs.
  • Use fleet management software to monitor vehicle locations and performance.
  • Provide support and training to drivers regarding vehicle policies and practices.
  • Investigate and resolve any fleet operational issues or incidents promptly.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for upper management review.
  • Participate in fleet budget planning and forecast future fleet requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of fleet operation policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two years experience in fleet management or related operations.
  • Strong proficiency in using fleet management and tracking software tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective team collaboration.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for reporting purposes.
