Heavy Truck Driver

We are looking for a  Heavy Truck Driver, who will play a crucial role in the transportation of goods and materials using heavy trucks. Your expertise in safe driving, adherence to traffic rules, and efficient delivery of cargo will contribute to the smooth flow of goods and the timely fulfillment of transportation requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy trucks in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to traffic rules, regulations, and road safety guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with all transportation laws, including seatbelt usage, speed limits, and vehicle inspections.
• Load, secure, and transport various types of cargo, including goods, materials, and equipment, while ensuring they are properly secured and protected during transit.
• Plan and follow optimal routes to reach destinations efficiently and on time, considering road conditions, traffic, and delivery schedules.
• Conduct routine inspections of the truck before and after each trip to ensure its roadworthiness.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks and report any issues or malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and cargo details.
• Complete required paperwork, including delivery receipts, logbooks, and trip reports.
• Interact with customers and recipients in a professional and courteous manner during delivery and pickup.
• Provide assistance with unloading and verifying the accuracy of delivered goods.
• Adapt to changing weather conditions, traffic situations, and unforeseen challenges while ensuring the safety of the cargo and the truck.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and supervisors to provide updates on delivery progress, delays, and issues.
• Ensure the truck's compliance with vehicle weight limits, load restrictions, and other regulations set by transportation authorities.
• Follow safety protocols and emergency procedures, such as handling accidents, breakdowns, and incidents on the road.

• Valid UAE driver's license for heavy trucks
• Proven experience as a Heavy Truck Driver, preferably in the UAE.
• Knowledge of UAE road regulations, traffic rules, and safe driving practices.
• Ability to operate heavy trucks skillfully and safely.
• Basic mechanical knowledge for conducting minor vehicle inspections and maintenance.
• Excellent navigation skills and the ability to use navigation tools and apps.
• Good communication skills to interact with customers, colleagues, and dispatchers.
• Strong problem-solving abilities to handle unexpected situations on the road.
• Physical fitness for loading, unloading, and securing cargo.
• Ethical conduct and professionalism in representing the company.
• Adaptability to different routes and schedules.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is advantageous.
