Job Summary:

The Director of Housekeeping is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the housekeeping department in a hotel or similar establishment. This includes ensuring high standards of cleanliness, training and supervising staff, and managing budgets and inventory.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop and implement housekeeping policies and procedures to maintain cleanliness and orderliness.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise housekeeping staff to ensure high performance standards.
  • Inspect rooms and public areas to ensure they meet cleanliness standards and address any deficiencies.
  • Manage budgets, inventory, and supplies for the housekeeping department.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Handle guest complaints and requests regarding housekeeping services.
  • Implement environmentally friendly practices and procedures in the housekeeping department.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
  • Proven experience in housekeeping management, preferably in a hotel setting.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and equipment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with budgeting and inventory management.
