Waiter/Waitress

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly, present menus, and assist with menu selections.
• Take accurate food and drink orders and enter them into the POS system.
• Ensure timely delivery of orders and check in on guests' dining experience.
• Provide recommendations and answer any questions regarding the menu.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables and dining area throughout shifts.
• Communicate efficiently with kitchen staff to ensure correct orders are prepared.
• Assist in the preparation and set up of dining areas for new guests.
• Adhere to safety, sanitation, and alcohol service protocols at all times.
• Handle guest complaints and concerns with professionalism and patience.
• Process guest payments and handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately.
• Continuously develop knowledge about current menu items and restaurant features.
• Support other staff members by helping with busing tables and side duties.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service or as a waiter is preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills and a friendly attitude are necessary.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal communication skills for effective interaction with guests.
• Basic math skills to handle cash and card transactions accurately.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform other tasks for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
