Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during surgical procedures and monitor animal recovery.
• Administer medications, treatments, and vaccinations as prescribed by veterinarians.
• Perform laboratory tests and analyze results to aid in diagnosis and treatment.
• Provide emergency first aid to injured or critically ill animals.
• Maintain accurate patient records including medical histories and treatments.
• Educate pet owners on proactive health management and preventive care.
• Conduct initial assessments and take vital signs of animals upon admission.
• Communicate effectively with veterinary teams and other support staff members.
• Assist in the care and maintenance of clinical equipment and veterinary supplies.
• Ensure all surgical and examination areas are clean and well-organized.
• Provide compassionate support and guidance to pet owners in distressing situations.
• Stay updated with the latest veterinary nursing practices and animal care techniques.

Requirements

• Formal qualification in Veterinary Nursing or an equivalent related field.
• Minimum of one year of experience working in a veterinary practice.
• Strong understanding of animal health, behavior, and medical terminology.
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to educate pet owners effectively.
