Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Under close supervision of a licensed Planner or Urban Designer, completes project assignments related to planning and urban design. Assignments are designed to develop a practical knowledge of planning standards, urban design practices, and master planning techniques.

Specific Responsibilities

• May utilize a CAD workstation to prepare basic land use and planning-related drawings.
• Compiles data and performs dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of drawings.
• May also complete basic sketches and layouts as directed.
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
  
  
  

Skills and Competencies

• Familiarity with CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with architectural and interior design is required.
  
  
  

Education and Typical Experience

• Incumbent must be enrolled in an Architecture, Planning or Urban Design curriculum at an accredited college or university and have completed typically 1+ year of studies.

Licenses and Certifications

• The ideal candidate should already hold a bachelor degree and being enrolled in an Urban Design / Planning Programme at Master level.
