Job Description

The Technical Sales Representative is a pivotal role within our company, combining deep technical knowledge with strong sales acumen. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling our range of technical products and services to potential clients, ensuring client satisfaction and fostering long-term customer relationships. A strong understanding of our products and the ability to translate complex technical information into understandable sales messaging is crucial. The Technical Sales Representative will work closely with our engineering and marketing teams to develop and present solutions tailored to meet customer needs, driving sales growth and expanding market reach. With excellent communication skills and a proactive approach, the Technical Sales Representative will engage in various stages of the sales process, from initial contact and product demonstrations to negotiation and closing deals.


Responsibilities

  • Engage with potential clients to understand their technical product requirements and needs.
  • Present and demonstrate our products in a compelling and informative manner.
  • Develop strategic sales plans to increase market presence and achieve sales targets.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to tailor solutions that meet customer specifications.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to prioritize sales efforts effectively.
  • Provide feedback to management on client needs, product performance, and potential improvements.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities in our CRM system.
  • Identify new business opportunities through networking and market research methodologies.
  • Participate in trade shows, conferences, and promotional events to represent the company.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with clients to ensure profitable sales outcomes.
  • Provide after-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales progress and market challenges for senior management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience in technical sales or related field is required.
  • Strong understanding of technical products and the ability to explain concepts clearly.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills are essential.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships over time.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required for client meetings.
