Technical Engineer-ELV

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Technical Engineer – ELV with experience in building construction projects within the UAE, preferably from contracting firms. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems, ensuring proper installation, coordination, and compliance with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Review and interpret ELV system designs, including CCTV, access control, public address, fire alarm, structured cabling, and other low voltage systems.

Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and site teams to ensure accurate implementation of ELV works.

Prepare and review technical submittals, shop drawings, and material approvals related to ELV systems.

Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with design specifications, standards, and safety regulations.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ELV systems during installation and commissioning phases.

Ensure adherence to UAE local authority regulations and industry standards.

Support testing, commissioning, and handover activities of ELV systems.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related discipline.

Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Technical Engineer in ELV systems within contracting firms in the UAE building construction sector.

Strong knowledge of ELV systems, design standards, and installation practices.

Familiarity with local authority regulations and DEWA standards.

Proficient in AutoCAD and relevant project management or design software.

Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
