Job Description

Were looking for a Sales Support Team Lead to lead our deal management function and team in our Dubai office, playing a critical role in supporting our global growth and reporting to our Global Director of Deal Management.

In This Role, Youll Be Responsible For

  • Overseeing and mentoring a team of deal management associates, fostering their professional growth and ensuring high-quality support. Youll support the onboarding of new colleagues and cultivate a self-starting, entrepreneurial environment within your team.
  • Driving the strategy and execution of all global deal management processes, ensuring seamless support for our sales teams and clients. This involves collaborating with various internal teams like Sales, Legal, Risk, Onboarding, and Finance to ensure smooth client onboarding and agreement execution.
  • Developing and maintaining standardised deal management frameworks to ensure consistency and efficiency across all regions. Youll identify opportunities for process improvements in how the Deal Management team operates and adapt the execution of new processes.
  • Collaborating closely with regional sales and deal management teams to understand their needs and proactively provide guidance throughout the onboarding process. Youll leverage your superb communication skills to interact with multidisciplinary senior stakeholders and manage multiple internal stakeholders while delivering exceptional service.
  • Acting as a creative problem-solver, finding ways to meet clients needs while adhering to Checkout.coms policies and ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation related to deal structures and contracts. This includes creating and reviewing customer agreements and contracts.
  • Ensuring operational excellence in all deal management activities, implementing robust validation processes. This includes responding to inbound requests from the Sales team regarding onboarding or reviewing existing clients profiles.
  • Staying informed of industry best practices in deal management to continually enhance our capabilities. Familiarity with the payment processing industry and regulations is a plus.

Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years in a leadership role within sales operations, deal desk, or contract management, with proven experience mentoring and developing a team.
  • Strong grasp of sales operations processes and deal management workflows, with a track record of identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, able to build relationships and effectively interact with senior internal teams (Sales, Legal, Finance, etc.).
  • Highly analytical and detail-oriented problem-solver, capable of understanding complex business needs and ensuring accuracy in deal structures and contracts.
  • Solid understanding of commercial terms and contracts, with experience in reviewing customer agreements.
  • Self-starter with a proactive work ethic, thriving autonomously in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce (or similar CRM) and strong technical aptitude.
