Job Description

A Supply Chain Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring that the supply chain processes of an organization are efficient, effective, and streamlined. They are responsible for analyzing data, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing changes that enhance the overall supply chain performance. The position requires a detail-oriented individual who can effectively track and analyze supply chain components such as procurement, production, transportation, and logistics. The Supply Chain Analyst collaborates with various departments to align strategy, optimize operations, and reduce costs. This role is pivotal in ensuring the timely delivery of goods, maintaining inventory levels, and improving the organization's ability to meet customer demands promptly and reliably.


Responsibilities

  • Analyze supply chain data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance supply chain efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align supply chain initiatives.
  • Monitor supply chain operations and identify any issues or delays.
  • Work closely with suppliers to negotiate contracts and optimize terms.
  • Prepare detailed reports on inventory levels and project future trends.
  • Coordinate with logistics to ensure effective transportation management.
  • Utilize analytical tools to forecast demand and manage supply chain risks.
  • Ensure inventory policies are adhered to and make adjustments as needed.
  • Conduct market research to understand emerging trends and competitor strategies.
  • Implement process improvements to minimize costs and enhance productivity.
  • Facilitate regular meetings with stakeholders to review supply chain performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in supply chain analysis or a similar analytical role.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in supply chain software and tools.
  • Excellent communication skills for interaction across multiple departments.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging supply chain trends.
