Structural Engineer

What you’ll be doing:


We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Structural Engineer to join our technical team, specializing in the structural analysis and design of light and high gauge steel profiles. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in structural modelling, calculation, and compliance with international codes, using tools such as SAP2000 and IDEA StatiCa. Familiarity with Tekla Tedds, CFS (Cold-Formed Steel design software), and knowledge of various international building codes is highly desirable.

  • Perform structural calculations and design for light and high gauge steel profile systems used in various construction applications.
  • Conduct structural analysis and modeling using SAP2000 and IDEA StatiCa.
  • Review and optimize designs in compliance with applicable international building codes (e.g., IBC, Eurocode, BS, AISI, UAE building code).
  • Evaluate structural performance under various load cases including wind load, seismic load, impact load, and other serviceability criteria.
  • Coordinate with architects, project managers, and technical support teams to ensure structural designs are safe, efficient, and buildable.
  • Prepare and validate technical reports, design notes, and calculation sheets for submission and client approval.
  • Provide technical support and consultation to internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in value engineering and system development for new steel profile solutions.
  • Stay updated with industry standards, tools, and best practices.

Experience in the following areas would be an advantage:


Education & Experience:


  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil / Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in cold-formed or light/high gauge steel systems.


Technical Skills:


  • Proficient in SAP2000 and IDEA StatiCa (Required).
  • Familiarity with Tekla Tedds and CFS is a strong advantage.
  • Solid understanding of structural principles related to cold-formed steel framing, load-bearing profiles, and composite assemblies.
  • Knowledge of relevant international building codes (e.g., IBC, Eurocode, BS 5950, AISI S100).


Other Skills:


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Professional Engineering License (or in progress) is an advantage.
  • Experience in technical support or consulting environment.
  • Familiarity with BIM processes and coordination tools is a plus.
