Job Description

As a Shipping Sales Executive, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and expanding our customer base for our shipping services. Your primary responsibility will be to identify new business opportunities and foster relationships with potential clients within the shipping and logistics sector. You should have a robust understanding of the shipping industry, be adept at negotiating service agreements, and possess exceptional communication skills to convey the value of our services to clients. Your ability to strategize and execute sales plans will be essential in meeting and exceeding sales targets. We are looking for a dynamic professional with a passion for sales and a drive to work in a competitive environment.


Responsibilities

  • Identify and target potential customers for shipping services through market research.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key clients to foster loyalty.
  • Prepare, present, and negotiate service agreements tailored to client needs.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to ensure customer service standards are met.
  • Analyze competitors and assess industry trends to maintain competitive edge.
  • Utilize CRM tools to track customer interactions and sales pipeline progress.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team to align sales strategies with promotional efforts.
  • Participate in industry conferences and networking events to build connections.
  • Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies and legal regulations.
  • Regularly update management with accurate sales forecasts and reports.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales quotas and revenue targets.
  • Provide continuous feedback on customer expectations and market positioning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience, preferably in the shipping industry.
  • Strong understanding of international shipping regulations and logistics.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets consistently.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for client interactions.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Ability to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills to influence stakeholders effectively.
