Job Description

We are currently seeking to hire a Senior Business Development Manager to join our team in Dubai. In this role, you will be at the forefront of expanding Axe Finance’s footprint across the Middle East, spearheading new business generation and client acquisition. You will oversee the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing, ensuring successful onboarding and long-term value creation for our banking and financial institution clients.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with the Chief Commercial Officer to refresh Axe Finances go-to-market strategy for target countries in the Middle East region.
  • Focus on generating new business revenues, play a leading role in new business pitches and be responsible for the effective onboarding of new clients.
  • Develop a robust pipeline in assigned accounts across the Middle East region.
  • Manage the presales & sales process of complex and enterprise-length sales cycles.
  • Accountable for the business strategy, planning, marketing, positioning and selling of the software suite (investigation, qualification, exploring) across assigned accounts.
  • Lead the preparation of RFP responses, client presentations, and proposals etc.
  • Accountable for the business plan and "Go to Market" strategy, including planning for marketing events and related budgets.
  • Prepare reports and updates on sales pipeline and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Customer Success to proactively identify additional opportunities within the customer base and drive the sales process for up-sell and cross-sell of additional software modules.
  • Ensure accurate and timely pipeline reporting, updating CRM regularly with the latest client developments.


CANDIDATE PROFILE & REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree business administration, marketing, engineering, or equivalent from a leading university.
  • 10+ years of experience in sales with a software developer, preferably within the fintech sector.
  • Experience with enterprise length complex sales cycles.
  • Extensive network across the banking and non-bank FI in the Middle East is highly preferred.
  • International market sales experience, specifically in the Middle East, is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of all aspects of new business development, client relationships & account management.
  • Demonstrated success in winning 7-8 figure enterprise-level software deals with Banks and non-Bank FIs in the Middle East region.
  • Proficient in drafting business plans and sales forecasts.
  • A client-focused mindset with excellent negotiation skills and mastery of relevant sales techniques.
  • Excellent presentation & interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational, multi-tasking & time management skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment & across all levels of the organization.
  • Leadership experience in a high-performance sales environment
  • Excellent levels of English (both written & oral), proficiency in Arabic is highly preferred .
