Job Description

The Senior Sales Manager is a key leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth and building and leading a high-performing sales team. This position involves developing key growth sales strategies, tactics, and action plans, as well as managing and maintaining positive relationships with customers to achieve business and financial goals. The Senior Sales Manager will play a crucial role in the strategic direction and success of the sales department and, by extension, the company. They are also responsible for achieving aggressive sales targets by developing a strategic sales plan that expands the company’s customer base and broadens its market reach. Working closely with the marketing and product development teams, the Senior Sales Manager will ensure that customers’ needs and expectations are clearly communicated and met. The role requires excellent leadership skills, a keen eye for market trends, and the ability to make key decisions quickly.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet company goals.
  • Lead, train, and motivate a high-performing sales team for optimum results.
  • Set sales targets and ensure that the sales team meets or exceeds these.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships and partnerships.
  • Identify customer needs and requirements to promote company’s products effectively.
  • Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs.
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs.
  • Analyze sales metrics to assess the team’s performance and meet sales goals.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to identify customer segments and new opportunities.
  • Report on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts.
  • Collaborate with sales management to develop and enhance internal sales systems.
  • Forecast sales, develop out-of-the-box sales strategies, and evaluate their effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven work experience as a Sales Manager or equivalent senior role.
  • Demonstrable experience in successful management of sales teams and strategic planning.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and lead a team effectively.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Deep understanding of sales performance metrics and data analysis techniques.
  • Ability to travel as necessary, balancing time between office and client meetings.
