Job Purpose

To design and deliver new digital products and services in line with the digital roadmap and “by default digital” vision of the bank. Enhance customer journeys and functions for digital channels and manage the prioritization.

Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize digital product initiatives with different Business units, Technology & Operations
  • Drive digital product ideation to connect digital products with customer needs to create world-class customer experience
  • Develop digital product implementation roadmaps and define MVPs.
  • Perform market research on competitors, FinTech’s, new challenger bank to lead to implement new digital products
  • Take ownership for full agile delivery implementation against defined business goals
  • Bring insight on future trends in products and exposure value charging into the innovation pipeline
  • Produce business cases with the support of business owners and business product managers
  • Ensure digital goals are identified, communicated, documented, agreed and delivered in the most cost-effective manner possible through to the completion of the successful pilot deployment
  • Translate business requirements into User Stories and follow Agile/Waterfall implementation frameworks
  • Engage stakeholders from around the business to obtain the appropriate support.
  • Prioritize product backlog, measure team performance
  • Ensure Minimum Viable Products meet costs and agreed budget
  • Produce empathy mapping plans and use design thinking techniques to produce customer centric products
  • Review NPS and Client Feedback to feed into strategic themes and prepare business case, develop and execute strategy for launch
  • Ensure key program milestones are achieved and delivered by focusing on timely delivery of planned initiatives
  • Ensure on-going strategic alignment whilst consider bigger picture for digital objectives. Manage and Design Change Requests
  • Confirm project solutions are reliable, consistent, and effective and simplify / re-use where possible.
  • Adhere to all relevant processes/procedures and by liaising with Compliance, Technology Risk and internal control units.
  • To support execution of digital roadmap with business, sales, customer service, IT, UX and channels, marketing teams and 3rd parties in the development
  • To undertake compliance, legal and user experience audits of these digital applications and services channels and implement recommendations where necessary
  • Excellent communication skills verbally and written
  • Collaborate with all levels of business on a variety of topics, both functional and technical with poise and professionalism
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority. The ability to influence and work collaboratively with development teams is especially important.
  • Ensure on time, on quality and on budget delivery of projects
  • Supporting achievement of financial (revenue and cost saving targets) and nonfinancial KPIs (Quality metrics, customer service excellence, improved user experience…etc.)
  • Defining digital product vision
  • Managing the product backlog
  • The product owner is accountable for each stage of the development process and the final product. Takes a primary role in inspecting and evaluating product progress through each iteration. The product owner makes the judgment call on the performance, deciding if the team needs to go back to the drawing board or if they can move on to the next steps.
  • Identify innovation and improvement areas to support strategy and come up with initiatives or improvements, get approvals from management and execute the initiatives.

Requirements:

Qualification

  • Proven experience (15 + years) in Digital Banking, Digital Transformation, FinTech, Mobile and Online Banking, Financial Services as a Product Owner or similar role in a Financial Services environment, with a track record of successfully delivering digital products and services.
  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or relevant certifications preferred.
  • Highly Proficient with mobile banking apps, online banking platforms, payments systems, or other fintech solutions.

Skills

  • Proven experience in services delivery on digital channels.
  • Proven experience in delivering wealth, liabilities and investment related products and services.
  • Solid understanding of banking concepts, products, procedures and operations.
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban, and experience with agile tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps.
  • Strong knowledge of investments vertical regulatory landscape, requirements and compliance standards. Familiarity with the UAE financial services landscape will be a significant advantage.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
