Job Description

As a Merchandiser at our company, your role will be pivotal in managing product displays and inventory levels across various retail locations. The Merchandiser is responsible for ensuring that our products are visually appealing and optimally positioned to drive sales and enhance customer engagement. You will work closely with buyers, suppliers, and store managers to synchronize promotions and merchandise strategies. Your keen eye for detail and understanding of consumer behavior will allow you to develop innovative merchandising solutions that contribute to the store's profitability. A proactive attitude and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment are essential to excel in this role.


Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain visually appealing product displays that drive sales.
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability and turnover.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate and plan promotional activities.
  • Conduct market research to align merchandising strategies with consumer trends.
  • Coordinate with store managers to ensure flawless execution of visual displays.
  • Monitor sales figures and adjust merchandising tactics as necessary for success.
  • Provide training to sales staff on merchandising standards and practices.
  • Analyze competitor displays and marketing strategies to improve our offerings.
  • Regularly update merchandising plans and layouts as needed to optimize space.
  • Prepare and present merchandising reports to upper management for review.
  • Inspect and maintain product display areas for cleanliness and organization.
  • Ensure that all merchandising activities comply with company and industry standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in retail merchandising or a similar role is required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise with suppliers and teams.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and adjust merchandising strategies accordingly.
  • Proficiency in using merchandising software and tools to plan layouts effectively.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, aligned with retail needs.
