Executive Summary

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

  • You will play a key role in converting global directions and initiatives into an Emerging Markets SCM roadmap, which you will own from governance, milestones and communication standpoint
  • You will play a key role within the emerging markets by working closely with the VP SCM and EM SCM SLT on key initiatives for the market across verticals, track progress, communicate milestones and hold various stakeholders accountable.
  • Being part of the Supply Chain development team you will own key streams like inventory management, and work on multiple projects on both cluster and regional level
  • Play a key role in owning and organizing recurrent SLT routines and drumbeats, through connects, QBRs, offsites, townholes or huddles. Create a robust roadmap which will ensure allignment with strategic direction and objectives of EM SCM. Convert outcomes of those routines into actionable milestones, linking those to our strategy. Own those until resolution by coordinting closely SLT/clusters/global.
  • Provide leadership and support for priority market initiatives; connect global programs to local execution and measure outcomes.
  • Work closely with HR on key regional initiatives, some of which will be owned by yourself, and others in partnership with HR
  • Work closely with VP SCM in defining targets for the full EM SCM organization

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating Model & Governance
  • Define the leadership “drumbeat” and decision rights across SLT forums; tie agendas to milestone plans
  • Standardize executive decision-memo and communication templates to speed alignment.
  • Build pre-reads, run meetings, capture minutes, track actions/owners/dates, and perform quality-gate checks on deliverables.
  • Maintain an integrated leadership calendar and a rolling 12–16-week view; propose improvements to rhythms and sequencing.
  • Play a key role in owning and organizing recurrent SLT routines and drumbeats, through connects, QBRs, offsites, townholes or huddles. Create a robust roadmap which will ensure allignment with strategic direction and objectives of EM SCM. Convert outcomes of those routines into actionable milestones, linking those to our strategy. Own those until resolution by coordinting closely SLT/clusters/global.
  • Strategy to Execution
  • Translate global/regional priorities into market-ready plans with clear owners, timelines, and dependencies; recommend trade-offs to the VP.
  • Stand up special initiatives that close capability gaps or unlock growth/resilience.
  • Produce concise executive readouts (status, decisions required, impacts, next steps).
  • Play a key role in converting global directions and initiatives into an Emerging Markets SCM roadmap, which you will own from governance, milestones and communication standpoint
  • Work closely with VP SCM in preparing executive material for global offsites, presentations and townhalls.
  • Work closely with VP SCM in defining targets for the full EM SCM organization, from leadership to cluster level. Coordinate with various stakeholders within EM and global for year end targets related discussions.
  • Organizational Engagement
  • Facilitate Senior Leadership meetings, Town Halls, Summits, and Global visits; synchronize with Market calendars and GSCM moments; ensure tight sequencing with milestones.
  • Build and operate an executive communications framework for the VP (cadence, channels, templates); deliver org-wide updates; monitor reach/engagement and iterate.

  • You will be part of most offsites and most sessions with the EM SCM SLT. You will play a key role in converting key topics and discussion points, into actionable follow-ups which you will own until resolution. The above point also applies to visits of global stakeholders.
  • Visits and offsites. You will play a key role in organizing global visits as well as EM SLT offsites i.e. agenda preparation in line with strategic objectives as well as on the ground management and coordination of the visits.
  • Supply Chain Development Projects & Portfolio Management
  • Lead assigned projects/ initiatives or support with leading workstreams in major project.
  • Ownership to initiative, drive alignment and execute the projects as per business needs.
  • Own SCM business-side intake, and prioritization of the business demands.
  • Maintain the portfolio of tech demands, ensure alignment across Tech, business/ commercial functions.
  • Organise and coordinate demand forums with EM SCM SLT, maintain the backlog and roadmap.
  • Track delivery of approved demand, highlight manage scope changes.
  • Stakeholder & Interface Management
  • Act as connective tissue across Global SCM (S&P, GLD, NTP, GSP, etc.), Market leadership, IT, Finance, HR, DC Ops & Logistics, Order Fulfilment, Product Supply, Omnichannel Ops, Business Development, and external partners.
  • Run alignment workshops, confirm RACI/DRIs, map dependencies/impacts, and drive aligned decisions

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Strong E2E supply chain knowledge; expert program/portfolio management and structured problem solving.
  • Proven leadership of complex cross-functional initiatives (agile/waterfall/hybrid).
  • Technology demand governance (intake, prioritization, stage-gates, data/security/architecture alignment).
  • Outstanding communication and executive storytelling; able to simplify complexity for diverse audiences.
  • High influence in matrix environments; culturally savvy; resilient and adaptable.
  • Fluency in English; additional language(s) a plus.

Requisite Education And Experience / Minimum Qualifications

  • University level degree, usually in Business or Engineering, required. MBA a plus
  • 8-10 years of supply chain management experience in progressively senior positions having an E2E understanding of operations
  • 5 years of leadership experience with direct / in-direct reports
  • Background in FMCG or packaged goods industry and/or strategic and supply chain consulting
  • Demonstrated ability of managing cost performance, supply/demand forecasting & distribution execution for a broad product range across multiple locations
  • Certifications such as PMP, Lean Six Sigma, Operations or Inventory Management a plus
