Job Description
This is a client facing role in which the Senior Associate will assist the Unit in reviewing high volume and high value real estate debt transactions for existing and new clients operating within the institutional Real Estate industry across the UAE, wider GCC and international markets.
Financial Modeling & Analysis: Develop and maintain complex financial models to evaluate potential real estate transactions, including cash flow projections, valuation analysis, and review of financial statements.
Transaction Execution: Assist in the end-to-end transaction process. This includes preparing offering materials, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., Credit, legal counsel, appraisers, syndication partners), and managing data rooms. Contribute towards the effective achievement of the business objectives through engaged participation in the unit.
Due Diligence: Conduct thorough due diligence on potential deals, including market research, analysis of property financials, and review of legal and regulatory documents to identify risks and opportunities.
Client & Internal Communication: Prepare clear and concise presentations, credit memos, and reports for senior management and clients ensuring compliance with Bank and Local laws and regulation. Effectively communicate complex financial concepts and transaction details. As well as assist in the preparation of timely and accurate MIS statements and reports of the unit to meet bank and department requirements, policies and standards.
Market & Industry Research: Stay informed on commercial real estate market trends, economic conditions, and competitive landscape to support deal origination and strategic advisory services.
Maintaining Relationships: Develop and maintain effective business relationships with all relevant external/internal entities (such as key/strategic clients, service providers etc) and all sections with highest standards of business ethics, whilst promptly attending to all critical issues to maximize divisional revenues
Education: Bachelors degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or CFA is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a related field, such as investment banking, private equity, real estate finance, or a similar analytical role.
Technical Skills
Financial Modeling: Proven expertise in building and manipulating complex, three-statement financial models, with a focus on real estate valuation and cash flow analysis.
Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Knowledge:
Good understanding of commercial real estate fundamentals, capital markets, and financial instruments.
Good knowledge of investor risk theory so that appropriate new product/service recommendations are made to clients and suitable risk controls are implemented.
Good knowledge of credit proposal processes and procedures.
Robust knowledge of relevant UAE products/services related to Real Estate Debt.
Soft Skills
Analytical Thinking: Exceptional problem-solving skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to present information clearly and persuasively. Arabic an added advantage.
Teamwork: A proactive and collaborative attitude, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Initiative: A self-starter who is able to manage multiple projects and priorities with minimal supervision.
