Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Senior Accountant for our client to support executive management in making informed financial decisions. The ideal candidate should have strong financial knowledge, good leadership skills, and the ability to lead a finance department in a fast-paced work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Handle invoice generation, credit follow-up, accounts payable, and receivable.

·       Approve and monitor petty cash transactions and guide the cashier on daily tasks.

·       Reconcile financial data by verifying bank payments, managing deposits, and handling foreign currency transactions while mitigating exchange rate risks

·       Manage financial records, including purchases, sales, and expenses, maintain the general ledger and petty cash book, and develop internal controls to prevent errors and fraud.

·       Supervise the preparation of quarterly and annual account reconciliations, monitor and enforce compliance with tax and financial reporting standards and assist with cash flow forecasting.

·       Conduct cost analysis for travel packages, tours, and operations to ensure profitability.

·       Prepare accurate monthly and annual financial statements and reports, and coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities for timely submissions

·       Develop financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts, and create business plans aligned with the company’s financial outlook.

·       Conduct cost analysis for travel packages, tours, and operations to ensure profitability.

·       Monitor and manage company cash flow, working capital, and liquidity.

·       Handle payments to suppliers, agents, airlines, and other stakeholders.

·       Oversee payroll processing to ensure timely salary disbursement and manage payments for rent, utilities, and other recurring expenses.

·       Collaborate with teams to align financial goals with business objectives and support decisions on expansion, partnerships, and investments.

 

Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

 

 

Experience:

  • 3–6+ years of proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in the travel, tourism, or visa industry.
  • Candidate should be willing to relocate to Umm Al Quwain.
  • Candidates with a Residence Visa are preferred
  • UAE driving license preferred.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in accounting software.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication skills for team coordination and basic client interaction.

Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
