Senior Accountant (225-901)

The Senior Accountant is a key member of the finance team, responsible for managing and maintaining financial transactions and records in line with corporate and regulatory standards. This role involves comprehensive oversight of accounting functions, including preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and ensuring the accuracy of ledger entries. The Senior Accountant is expected to support strategic financial planning initiatives and enhance internal processes to improve financial efficiency. In addition, they must partner with managers to provide insightful financial analysis and forecasting to inform strategic decision-making. With strong analytical skills and a meticulous eye for detail, the Senior Accountant plays a critical role in safeguarding the fiscal integrity of the organization. Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee daily accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping.
• Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Conduct account reconciliations to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data.
• Develop and implement financial reporting systems and processes for improved transparency.
• Collaborate with department heads to develop budgets and financial forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and reporting standards and guidelines.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes and facilitate audits as needed.
• Provide strategic insights and financial analysis to support business decision-making.
• Assist in developing and modifying internal control policies and procedures.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff to enhance team competence and performance.
• Ensure tax filings are completed accurately and timely according to jurisdictional requirements.
• Manage financial audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure accurate and timely audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
