Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
• Coordinate and complete annual audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
• Develop and implement accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Ensure timely and accurate performance of all company accounting activities.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities to ensure alignment with financial goals.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports and provide analysis and insights.
• Lead, coach, and develop a small team of junior accounting staff.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support overall company objectives and projects.
• Stay updated with industry trends and legislative changes to ensure compliance.
• Assist with special projects and perform ad-hoc financial analysis as required.
• Review reconciliations and cost analysis for discrepancies and implement solutions as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation highly preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including management roles.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel for financial analysis.
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in team development and management.
