Job Description

As a Sales Specialist in the jewellery industry, you will be at the frontline of our business, responsible for providing exceptional customer service and driving sales in our store. You will help customers choose the perfect piece of jewellery for their needs, whether it's an engagement ring, a special gift, or a personal indulgence. Utilizing your deep knowledge of gemstones, settings, trends, and customer preferences, you'll guide customers through their purchasing journey. Your role will be integral to enhancing customer satisfaction, building client relationships, and ultimately, increasing company profitability. This position calls for an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about jewellery and skilled in sales, communication, and client management.


Responsibilities

  • Provide knowledgeable advice on various jewellery products and pricing options.
  • Assist customers with locating specific jewellery pieces and provide suggestions.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure adequate stock levels in-store.
  • Manage client communications and follow up to ensure ongoing satisfaction.
  • Create and maintain a welcoming and appealing in-store display for all customers.
  • Handle point of sale processes, including cash, card, and financing transactions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
  • Train and mentor junior sales associates to enhance team performance.
  • Develop relationships with repeat clients to promote loyalty and sales growth.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and buyers to ensure product availability and selection.
  • Facilitate product customizations and manage the relevant paperwork and communications.
  • Participate in promotional events and sales campaigns to achieve sales targets.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in retail sales, preferably within the jewellery sector.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this role.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to build lasting relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Passion for jewellery and current trends in the accessory market.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of inventory management and point of sale systems.
