Reuters are looking for a Sales Manager to expand our footprint into the Gulf region selling event sponsorships, custom branded content and digital media solutions.
Selling across Reuters’ extensive award-winning platforms (including digital display, native, mobile, video, account-based marketing, custom content, and event sales), youll work with clients within the Gulf regional government, energy, finance and technology sectors. The role is primarily responsible for developing, managing and expanding Reuters Professionals client base in the above sectors which requires a skilled hand both from a business development and a sales perspective.

About The Role
As Gulf Sales Manager at Reuters, you will:
- Be consultative with your clients, matching most appropriate solutions to their business development, thought-leadership, lead-generation and client engagement objectives
- Enjoy learning about new markets and staying up to date with industry trends (think current affairs, technological developments and changes across industries).
- Work closely and collaborate with our media planning and global conference production team to establish the best audiences and maximize the success of our conferences and events.
- High volume of weekly meetings with prospective agency/ client stakeholders; presenting Reuters and ensuring a solid understanding of account strategy and challenges.
- Work in conjunction with the research team, presenting research and insights that highlights Reuters strength versus the competitive set across the Middle East.
- Collaborate with the Integrated Marketing team and Digital Sales Planner, develop proposals that align the advertiser’s strategy with our Content Marketing and Reuters.com offering.
- Win business across new and emerging platforms.
- Report to the Head of EMEA & APAC, working closely with the Global Head of Events, developing a quarterly plan for target accounts, associated agencies, and revenue projections.
- Maintain a high level of visibility at industry events and build strong relationships with clients to achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets.
About You
As
Sales Manager, Gulf, you will likely have:
- Demonstrable experience and success in selling multimedia, custom content led solutions and/or events to international clients.
- A passion for news and journalism and trusted content.
- Existing relationships across the Gulf. If you have any experience of working with Gulf-based government bodies, wed love to hear more about this on your CV.
- Proven success in selling large value deals to clients directly, with the ability to work with both end users and their associated marketing agencies.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills. Were looking for someone whos comfortable representing the Reuters brand when engaging with other industry-leading businesses.
- A collaborative attitude. Were team players at Reuters Professional and are looking for someone who can succeed both individually and within a team-based environment.
- The desire to progress and develop your skills further. We have an excellent (uncapped!) commission scheme that rewards your achievements and are keen to grow and invest in our sales team.
- The ability to adapt to changes in markets and articulate potential solutions to a range of stakeholders over the phone, in person and on video calls.
- Strong understanding of the online advertising market and a view on future trends.
- Are a self-starter, self-motivated, capable of delivering on goals with minimum supervision.
