In the role of the Assistant Supply Chain Manager, the candidate will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation and efficiency of supply chain processes. This role involves closely collaborating with the supply chain management team to optimize and streamline operations, enhance profitability, and maintain the organization’s standards at all levels. The Assistant Supply Chain Manager will assist in forecasting, procurement, logistics, and inventory management while focusing on reducing costs and improving sustainability. The role requires a professional who is proactive and detail-oriented, capable of working in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, demonstrate strong leadership potential, and have the ability to implement strategic initiatives across various supply chain functions.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and implementation of supply chain strategies aimed at process improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand and ensure timely procurement.
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure high-quality supplier performance and reliability.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate stock replenishment to optimize inventory turnover.
  • Analyze supply chain data and report on performance metrics to identify improvement areas.
  • Support logistics operations to guarantee timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
  • Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to improve supply chain processes and efficiencies.
  • Participate in negotiation of supplier agreements, contracts, and procurement policies.
  • Coordinate with shipping and receiving teams to ensure seamless operational activities.
  • Contribute to sustainability efforts by identifying eco-friendly supply chain innovations.
  • Assist in risk management initiatives to minimize supply chain disruptions and vulnerabilities.
  • Supervise and mentor junior supply chain staff, fostering an environment of development.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain management or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in supply chain management software.
  • Proven ability to handle supply chain issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a team-oriented mindset.
  • Familiarity with logistics, warehousing, and inventory management principles.
  • Experience in managing supplier relationships and negotiating supplier contracts.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently under tight deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a strong focus on accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Willingness to adapt to new challenges and opportunities within the supply chain field.
