Position Overview: Project Engineer - Fabrication Workshop

We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join our team in the United Arab Emirates. Responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering fabrication and installation activities in the workshop in compliance with client specifications, industry codes (e.g., API/ASME) and HSE requirements. Develop project plans and schedules, reviews drawings for constructability, enforces approved fabrication methods and material selection, issues RFQs and coordinates procurement/logistics to the warehouse, oversees QA/inspection, manages budgets and weekly reporting, supervises the fabrication team, resolves technical/non‑conformance issues, and maintains as‑built documentation for compliant, on‑time delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Plans and manages workshop fabrication projects by developing and maintaining project plans, schedules and budgets; coordinates with clients, engineers, contractors and procurement to ensure timely execution; reviews drawings and specifications for constructability and enforces approved fabrication methods and material selection; issues RFQs with required documentation and follows up on procurement and logistics to the site; manages material handling and workshop resource utilization; oversees QA/inspection activities and implements corrective actions for non‑conformances; issues weekly status reports, presents progress at meetings and escalates risks or delays; supervises and mentors the fabrication team, provides technical guidance and training, troubleshoots production issues, and maintains as‑built documentation and archived project records for compliant handover.

Minimum Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 5+ years of industry related experience
• PMP certification will be preferred
