Job Summary:

In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of purchasing specialists responsible for ensuring seamless material availability. You will play a strategic role in optimizing purchasing processes, driving operational excellence, and delivering superior customer service. This position involves overseeing and optimizing Supplier Performance and on time PO placement and delivery of back-to-back procurement of finished goods and component purchasing for Dubai and Spark manufacturing hubs.

Central to this responsibility is the accountability for driving a culture of excellence focusing on people, processes, execution, and technology to build a best-in-class tactical purchasing function

In this role, your responsibilities will be:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives
  • Manage end-to-end purchasing and material management processes to support efficient production operations with on time Request Date Service Level (RDSL) and Promised Date Service Level (PDSL)
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Procurement team, fostering professional growth and ensuring alignment with Emerson’s strategic purchasing processes
  • Proactively manage supply risks and disruptions by developing contingency plans and performing risk mitigation strategies. Drive DII dashboard utilization and shortage reviews to ensure timely order fulfillment
  • Conduct regular performance reviews of suppliers and resolve invoicing issues
  • Promote and ensure Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) compliance
  • Collaborate seamlessly with various customers, including Manufacturing, Planning, Logistics, Finance and Customer Care
  • Drive innovation/continuous process improvements and cost-saving initiatives, using technology and data analytics to elevate supply chain efficiency
  • Prepare and present insightful management reports that highlight value creation, risks and opportunities to support business decisions on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Adhere to Health, Safety & Environment policies as laid by the organization.

For this role, you will need

  • Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain Management
  • Minimum 6 years of professional experience in Purchasing/Supply Chain or equivalent
  • ERP experience (Oracle, MRP, ASCP) and excellent digital literacy (Power BI, Advanced Excel)
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal
  • Exceptional Communication and Collaboration skills
