Job Description

As a Registered Nurse specializing in Aesthetic Surgery, you will play a critical role in providing excellent nursing care to patients undergoing cosmetic procedures. You will be responsible for supporting plastic surgeons in the pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases of surgery, ensuring patient safety and comfort is prioritized at all times. Responsibilities

  • Assist surgeons during aesthetic procedures to ensure patient safety and optimal results.
  • Prepare operating rooms and ensure all surgical instruments are available and sterile.
  • Conduct pre-operative assessments to evaluate patient readiness and identify potential risks.
  • Provide post-operative care and support to enhance patient recovery and satisfaction.
  • Educate patients on pre- and post-surgical care to manage expectations and recovery.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and respond promptly to any changes during surgery.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of patient care activities and observations.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards within the operating room setting.
  • Manage and supervise junior nursing staff and guide them on best practices in aesthetic care.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in aesthetic surgical techniques and tools.
  • Participate in patient-centered care initiatives to enhance quality and safety in healthcare delivery.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with a valid nursing license.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a surgical or aesthetic healthcare setting.
  • Proven expertise in providing perioperative care within an aesthetic or similar environment.
  • Strong understanding of surgical procedures, instruments, and safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and staff.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by the surgery schedule.
  • CPR and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is required.
