Job Description

The Principal Solutions Engineer (ERP) plays a pivotal role in driving the successful implementation and integration of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions within an organization. Leveraging deep expertise in ERP platforms, this role involves leading complex projects, strategizing implementation plans, and ensuring seamless integration with existing organizational systems. The Principal Solutions Engineer works closely with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders to identify business needs and design customized solutions that improve operational efficiency. This position demands a high level of technical expertise, analytical skills, and a strong understanding of business processes. As a key member of the IT leadership team, the Principal Solutions Engineer also guides and mentors junior engineers, fosters innovation, and aids in shaping the ERP strategic roadmap.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of ERP solutions across diverse business units.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define project requirements and objectives effectively.
  • Analyze business processes and recommend enhancements to optimize ERP functionality.
  • Identify integration requirements and design solutions for seamless system interoperability.
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers, providing technical expertise and leadership.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for ERP implementation projects.
  • Ensure quality assurance and testing are conducted to meet organizational standards.
  • Manage change management processes and user training programs for smooth adoption.
  • Stay updated on the latest ERP technologies and trends to drive continuous improvement.
  • Resolve technical issues and provide expert support to maintain system integrity and performance.
  • Develop and present reports on project progress, challenges, and solutions to executives.
  • Foster strong relationships with vendors and external partners to maximize solution benefits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in ERP solutions engineering or implementation.
  • Strong proficiency with major ERP platforms like SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Proven track record of leading successful ERP projects across multiple industries.
  • Excellent analytical skills to troubleshoot complex ERP problems efficiently.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills to guide project teams effectively.
  • Experience with project management methodologies like Agile or Waterfall.
  • Understanding of database management and data migration processes.
  • Certifications related to ERP systems or project management are a plus.
